Screen printing
Through years of specialisation, we’ve developed unique and proven methods of using ink extenders and retarders as well as a variety of other materials. Many of the inks Sanderson use are manufactured solely for us and to our own proprietary specifications. Sanderson print to super-fine tolerances and routinely satisfy the most demanding of clients. No supplier is more willing – and as well equipped – to work with you to achieve the seemingly impossible.
Sample making
For ‘selling’ your ideas to colleagues and clients, a sketch or verbal description is no match for the real thing. Enter the ‘Kongsberg’ sample-making table.
Sanderson can provide prototypes and samples superfast, using the latest specialised software in conjunction with our CAD-operated Kongsberg sample-making table. The Kongsberg enables us to turn flat sheets of turtlene® into three-dimensional marvels quicker than you might imagine. For simple jobs we can sometimes provide same-day service. Complex projects and miracles will take a little longer, of course.

Promotional items
Sanderson has produced a mind-boggling array of memorable promotional items for our clients. We can help you with virtually anything you have in mind that can be made from polypropylene – and that gives you plenty of scope!

The shape of things to come This rectangular-based prism shape functions as point-of-sale and conveniently integrates with the existing in-store storage systems for the retail sector. The Metalicus Woman pack is screen printed with an overall floral pattern onto clear polypropylene, offset by two spot purples. The clear poly offers flexibility to view the ‘basic’ garment-styled range and colour variations, thus creating an individual mood for each pack and for ease of purchase.

A Sanderson Christmas One of Sanderson’s Yuletide promotions was a Christmas tree mailed to clients and suppliers as a flat sheet of green polypropylene. The tree was assembled into a three-dimensional item to sit on many desks until well after the holiday season. ‘Decorations’ on the tree were provided by a variety of festive colours printed onto the polypropylene.

A plus for new architects The design studio responsible for launching the new firm Architecture PLUS commissioned Sanderson to produce this promotional item. A functional and handy scale ruler comprises four pieces secured by a centre rivet. The pieces pivot on the rivet to form a plus sign to replicate the company’s logo. We printed brown ink onto translucent white polypropylene.
Point of sale
Sanderson is often called upon to create material that adds impact to our client’s marketing campaigns. Highly experienced in this specialised category, we have produced a wide range of attention-getting items that have worked a treat.
Eye-catching display stands Sanderson has a range of display stands for brochures in all the standard sizes. Durable single units constructed with sturdy ‘feet’ for excellent stability, they’re available in a rainbow of colours and a variety of textures. If your printwork is a non-standard size, we can quickly provide customised stands to suit your particular needs.

A super solution for supermarkets Sanderson has designed this simple yet effective unit for displaying products in supermarket aisles. Our unique design caters for the many limitations and special considerations involved in supermarket displays; particularly the lack of space.

Custom made
Polypropylene is suitable for an incredible variety of applications, some of which just can’t be ‘pigeon-holed’. As you can see here, the possibilities are limited only by your imagination – and ours.

Tidy your desk Sanderson produced this unique desk pen caddy using 0.8mm white polypropylene and printing two spot colours. The use of various stipples of the two colours created a very effective result for Dulux Café Pen. The components of the holder came as a flat A4 sheet to ‘pop-out’ for assembly, combined with a drink coaster with the client’s message.

Real creativity To help us tell the story of turtlene’s versatility to creatives in advertising agencies and design studios, we produced a unique photographic prop for a trade flyer: a translucent package in the shape of one of Australia’s most prestigious ad industry awards. An immediately recognisable icon for the target audience, it is also an apt demonstration of turtlene’s unique capabilities.

Dining delights The Stokehouse is a popular dining establishment on the foreshore at St Kilda beach. For their fine dining restaurant upstairs, the proprietors wanted unique candleholders and folders for presentation of the bill to patrons. We met the brief with a Gauguin fresco reproduction. The holder (for tea-lights) is a simple cylinder with discrete side locks that sit on a turned wooden base. Printed in 4-colour process (back with white) on the inside of clear 0.8mm material, the image comes to life when back-lit by the inside flame. The same image appears on the simple DL-sized bill folder, which features a turned up flap on the back cover with slots to hold the bill and the customer’s credit card.
Carry cases
For anything you can carry
The durability of turtlene® makes it especially appropriate for carry cases of all kinds. And Sanderson is especially well-equipped to help you explore the possibilities. Whether you need something traditional, something funky and fashionable or something that’s just plain cute, we’ll be happy to oblige.

Strong on style Fashion retailer Sussan approached Sanderson direct to design a carry case featuring the company’s floral motif. Their requirement was a special ‘gift box’. The case is an example of effective one-colour printing, with the image appearing in pastel blue on 0.8mm white polypropylene. The image’s softness reflects the femininity of the garments sold in more than 100 Sussan stores throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Seeing is believing Bollé came to Sanderson direct to create a carry case for use by the company’s sales representatives. We designed an elegant, yet sturdy case using translucent blue polypropylene with the graphics printed in one colour on the lid. Inside, there are ten separate die-cut strips to hold and display a variety of Bollé Safety eyewear.
Spruce up your car’s image In recognition of your investment, our client, Fifth Dimension has produced this ‘vehicle-protection bonus car care reward pack’. This carry case with two squeeze clips and a moulded handle, contains car-care products to enable storage in your car boot. The transparent UV ink was printed on the inside of the clear polypropylene sheet, to create a slight show-through to the internal contents. A solid process blue panel was printed over a dark blue vignette, with spot ‘highlight’ white to provide this classy, yet durable storage case.
Boxes, kits, satchels
Sanderson has produced a whole range of attention-getting trade presenters, presentation satchels, product launch kits, spare parts kits, press kits, training kits, cover sets, sample packs and gift boxes for all kinds of clients. To save you money on tooling-up costs, we have die-formes in all the standard sizes.

Making an excellent impression Hall & Wilcox is one of Melbourne’s leading commercial and taxation law firms. Their design studio was commissioned to produce an impressive satchel in which to present the firm’s proposals to its clients. The design featured the company ‘ampersand’ logo, which was incorporated into the die-forme shape of the satchel. The satchel and folder were produced using clear polypropylene printed in three colours; the silver ampersand (positive or negative) printed on the inside, a black keyline version ampersand, and the red company logo were printed on the outside.
‘The Breakout Story’ transforming the culture at ANZ A program based on the principal that organisations don’t change, people do, this beautiful little 3-panel fold-out satchel really complements the booklet & documentary CD which was produced to tell the story. Produced using clear frosted turtlene® printing 5 pms colours (3 inside, 2 outside) including clear varnish on both sides. ‘Breakthrough crease’ for squareness and functionality.
A zippy direct mailer Designed by Swatch and made by Mercedes-Benz, the Smart Car is a zippy little unit indeed. A direct marketing company involved in the car launch, commissioned Sanderson to produce a direct mail satchel to contain a brochure and toy car to promote the new vehicle. In a first for Sanderson, we used a new, clear 0.8 mm ribbed turtlene®. We also created a new ‘over-tolerance’ lock system to ensure secure passage through the mail.
Binders & folders
Sanderson has produced a wide range of polypropylene binders and folders over the years. Many have incorporated the humble ring binder because, despite numerous attempts to improve on the original design, its simplicity and ease of use are still superior. As you’ll see, we’re adept at providing enhancements (graphics, forme-cutting, etc.) to create the all-important differences that make each job uniquely appropriate for each client’s needs.

Money does matter This binder and slipcase set for ANZ Bank shows the fantastic use of illustration and 4-colour process. The set was designed and illustrated by a Melbourne-based design studio who pushed the polypropylene sheet beyond its boundaries. Both components used 1.4mm clear polypropylene, with the binder printing 4-colour process backed with white and a fifth spot warm grey. The slipcase was simply printed using white and warm grey to complement the binder graphics.
Simple and effective Yellow turtlene®, printed white, green & black…no bull!

Mirvac ‘The Heath’ Marketing Binder The Mirvac Group is a diversified organisation with interests in property investment and management as well as property development and hotel management. The Group appointed a design studio to create a binder and slipcase system for its series of large developments. ‘The Heath’, in the Melbourne suburb of Heatherton, is one of the developments for which a binder was required. Our solution was to print on both sides of clear polypropylene using two colours on the inside and one colour on the outside. This created an eye-catching sense of depth. Minimising ink coverage on the exterior ensured that the material used for the binder retained its unique tactile properties.

Sanderson offers a wide range of accessories to enhance your job’s appearance, value and functionality. A selection of these accessories is pictured here.
